First Use – Assembly

Upon receiving your Maneuvra, you will need to assemble it. The easiest way is to do this directly on the vehicle. To do so, follow the assembly instructions or refer to our explanatory videos.

Attaching the Trailer

Position the coupling head over the tow ball and then gradually lower the trailer drawbar so that the coupling head automatically locks onto the tow ball. If your trailer or caravan is equipped with a sway control coupling, ensure that the 20mm spacer is present between the tow ball and the mounting plate to prevent the coupling head from contacting the end of the threaded rod. If maneuvering with a braked coupling head, be sure to release the sway control on your trailer to free the coupling joint.

Next, fully raise the jockey wheel of your trailer.

Uncoupling the trailer

Be sure to engage the parking brake or, if unavailable, chock the wheels before uncoupling the trailer.

Unlock and lift the tow hitch head to disconnect the ball joint from the Maneuvra.

Removal

To remove the Maneuvra from your vehicle, you can unscrew it as a single unit by directly pulling on the threaded rod.

Do not drive on public roads with the Maneuvra attached. Remove it after each use.

Precautions

• Do not use the Maneuvra on public roads.

• Remove the Maneuvra as soon as you have finished using it.

• The Maneuvra's threaded rod is specifically designed for a particular vehicle type. Do not use Maneuvra with vehicles not listed as compatible.

• The Maneuvra's components and their threads must be free of deformation and corrosion. If they are, do not use them.

• The threaded rod must be fully screwed into the towing eye. A full tightening requires approximately 8 free turns.

Overload Precautions

Your Maneuvra towing hook is robust, thanks to its treated steel rod and generous dimensions. However, certain precautions should be taken when using it:

• Do not use Maneuvra with a trailer whose maximum authorized total weight (PTAC) exceeds your vehicle's maximum towing capacity.

• Respect the maximum permissible load on the Maneuvra tow ball: ≤ 40 kg

• Weigh the trailer's drawbar before attaching it to the Maneuvra. If necessary, balance the trailer as much as possible to reduce the load on the drawbar.

• Be careful not to stand on the trailer's drawbar to avoid overloading the Maneuvra.

• Ensure that nothing obstructs the movement of your trailer during maneuvering. The parking brake, the overrun brake being activated unexpectedly, an excessive incline, or an obstacle in front of the wheels can put excessive stress on the Maneuvra's components.

Tips

When maneuvering with the Maneuvra, always drive very slowly to precisely control the trailer's orientation. Be careful not to oversteer the trailer to prevent the drawbar from colliding with your vehicle's body.

We recommend that you be guided by someone outside the vehicle to ensure safety and prevent damage.
